Jarad Prickett
Jarad Prickett

Jarad Prickett was a member of the University of Kentucky basketball team from 1992-1997. He played a major role on the 1996 National Championship team, which is considered by many to be one of the top five teams college basketball teams of all-time. Jarad was also a member of the 1997 National Runner-up team.


Tyrone Hopson
Tyrone Hopson

Tyrone Hopson was selected in the 5th round of the NFL draft in 1999. He spent six season playing in the NFL for the San Francisco 49ers and the Detroit Lions. After he retired from the NFL he played with the Lexington Horseman. Tyrone played his collegiate football at Eastern Kentucky University.


Andrew Brown
Andrew Brown

Andrew Brown was a two sport star in High School, playing both baseball and basketball for Lexington Christian Academy. Andrew is now the assistant pastor at Grace Christian Church in Georgetown, Kentucky.


Steve Lepore

Steve Lepore played his collegiate basketball at Northwester University and Wake Forest University. He was a major contributor on the 2003 ACC Champions Wake Forest University. After college spent several years playing professional basketball overseas. Steve is now one of the major sales representatives for Spalding, the official ball of the NBA.

HIGH SCHOOL
Two-time all-state selection … four-time all-district and all-region … ended her career ranked second in state history with 72 doubles, eighth in the state with 19 career home runs and ninth with 171 career RBIs … as a senior at Scott County High School, Wood batted .450 with eight home runs, 17 doubles and 21 stolen bases on her way to earning 11th Region Player of the Year honors … as a junior, Wood batted .455 with 21 doubles, six home runs, 45 RBIs and 45 runs … was named to the Kentucky State All-Tournament Team as a junior while helping the Cardinals reach the final four … Scott County finished with a 37-8 record in 2007 … was chosen as an East/West All-Star in 2007 and 2008 … she has played high school softball for six years.

Michael Scaravilli

Michael Scaravilli was a 3 year letterman at Scott County High for the boys basketball team. He earned All-District and All-Region team honors. In those 3 years he helped lead Scott County to their first ever state championship. After High School Michael played collegiate basketball at Lees College, St Catherine and Crichton College. He posted impressive numbers at each stop averaging 18 points and 9 rebounds for his career. Michael graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 2004 and is now the President of Apex Roofing & Exteriors LLC. Michael provides a scholarship to one camper each summer so they can attend the A.W. Hamilton Basketball School.

Steve Scroggins has traveled all over the world learning different types of Production & Team Building ideas. He has worked in direct contact with such companies as Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, G.M., and NASA. Steve was hired as the youngest plant manager in the United States in 2007 at the age of 32. He is currently still holds that position at Kennel-Aire which ranks as the second largest pet carrier company in the world. Steve has a budget of over a million dollars a month to help supply his company with materials each month. Steve loves UK Basketball even though he currently lives only minutes from KU’s Campus. He has recently enjoyed the birth of his first child, who will be a future camper at the AW Hamilton basketball camp. Steve provides a scholarship to one camper each summer to attend A.W. Hamilton Basketball School.


Carrie Hamilton

Carrie Hamilton was a former Scott County Women’s Basketball player from 1998 – 2002. After high school, Carrie went to play for Pikeville College in Eastern Kentucky on a scholarship where her team won the 2002-03 Mid-South Conference Regular Season Championship and were participants in the Women’s National Tournament. Carrie has her Bachelor’s degree from Pikeville College in Business Management and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida. While a graduate student in Florida, Carrie worked for the NFL team – the Jacksonville Jaguars as an Assistant Special Events Coordinator. She now resides in Los Angeles, California where she does Commercial Insurance for a top tier Insurance Company, ACE USA.


Jared Lorenzen
Jared Lorenzen

Jared Lorenzen, a native of Ft. Thomas, Ky., is best known for his notable accomplishments as a quarterback for the Kentucky Wildcats from 2000-03. Lorenzen holds Kentucky’s career records in pass completions (862), pass attempts (1,514) and net passing yards (10,354), and is second for most touchdown passes thrown in a career (78). He was a two-year semifinalist for Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award. As a senior in 2003, he completed 191 of 336 passes (56.8 percent) for 2,221 yards, 16 touchdowns and 8 interceptions and was 2nd-team All-SEC.

Named Kentucky’s Mr. Football his senior year of high school, Jared also lead Highlands High School to the Class AAA state championship with a 15-0 record. Jared also helped lead the University of Kentucky to a 7-5 record in 2002. In 2003, Lorenzen was a Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award nominee. Lorenzen was a member of the NFL’s New York Giants from 2005-07 and was a back-up quarterback on the team’s 2007 Super Bowl Champion squad. Lorenzen now plays for the Kentucky Horseman of the af2 and has helped lead the team to the playoffs.

Patricia Putty

Patricia Putty is currently the Superintendent of Scott County Schools. She has brought a tremendous about of experience and energy to Scott County. Her leadership ability has gotten her off to a great start in Scott County.
