2006-Present Assistant Coach and Student Activities Director; Hargrave Military Academy,
Chatham, Va.
 

Assist in all areas of Hargrave basketball, which in the last four seasons has made four Final Four appearances including one national championship and one national runner-up. The school’s four-year record is 105-8 and we have had 43 players sign Division I scholarships. The 2007-08 team had a 29-0 record and won the national championship while the 2008-09 team had a 27-2 record and finished as the national runner-up.

Duties include:

  • Recruiting
  • Coordinating team travel including transportation, housing and meals
  • Putting players through individual workouts
  • On-floor coaching
  • Scouting opponents

As the Student Activities Director, coordinate on- and off-campus activities for the Academy, including the annual Military Ball.

2005-06 Graduate Assistant Coach; Marshall University, Huntington, W.Va.
 

Duties include assisting in all areas of Marshall University basketball, including:

  • Putting players through individual workouts
  • Arranging for video exchange with opponents
  • Analyzing video and preparing scouting reports of opponents
  • rRecruiting student-athletes
  • Statistical analysis of games and practice sessions
  • Academic monitoring of student-athletes
  • Arranging gameday tickets for players and recruits in accordance with NCAA rules
  • Team travel, including transportation, housing and meals
  • Organizing camps and serving as a counselor during camps

  • Team captain for three years in high school, one year in prep school and two years in college
  • First-team Kentucky all-state as a player at Scott County High School (1999)
  • Twice a member of the Kentucky all-State Tournament team (1998, 1999)
  • MVP of the annual Capital Classic in Charleston, W.Va., leading Marshall to upset of #21 WVU (2005)
  • 2005 Walt Walowac Award Winner as Marshall team MVP
